early May Cocorosie we delivered its fourth wafer, Grey Oceans ... An opinion?
In order:
Sierra and Bianca Casady are not yet out of the parallel world (by turns idyllic, scary or incomprehensible ...) that their lives particularly disjointed led them to create!
Some of their sounds, like their concerts, like always more to artistic experimentation than mere songs. All in all cases would be perfect dress for a trip musically shaman, or a documentary on LSD ...
However, as with previous titles I really like. Their voices are captivating and intoxicating music.
To get an idea, clips Lemonade (whose lyrics are just below ...) and Trinity's Crying title that opens the album.
[extracts ...] Lyrics:
It Was Cinco de Mayo
Pillow box on His head
No more breathing time
An ambulance sped
It sped round Every Corner
Calling Out His Name
Shot From The rabbit was back window seat and watched
Sat in the summer corn row
Ate ice cream in a desert dream
Got love in father seeing you
Too hot inside to hot outside
Lazy days when you said just go for a ride
We’ll sail on Spirit Lake,
Me, my pappy, and his lemonade
Tim and tina were my parents’ names
They got engaged they were inflamed
Seduced by the lie of butterflies
How they shimmer, how they glimmer
Those butterflies
